Noteworthy dates 2008/2009

Fall 2008 – From dream to reality.

During a walk over the Lingedijk by the initiators Nicoline tells Cor about the dream she (together with her mother) has. In the following months we worked on a proposal for a plan to develop a care estate. Through conversations with proprietors of care farms we found out that this setup would not fit in our dream. We did however find out what the definitive care estate would be like. Keeping in mind the financial threshold since both setups attempt to provide affordable care and equal accessibility for all patients. This lead to the choice for AWBZ care.

March 2009 – Finding a suitable location.

We contacted the realtor about 12 hectares of land with an option for an additional 7 hectares in Rumpt which has been designated for estate development.

Summer 2009 – Tour of the land in Rumpt.

A tour of the land and its surrounding area in Rumpt. This gave us a good impression of the area, the land and the possibilities.

Fall 2009 – 1st discussion with the county Geldermalsen.

We had our first discussion with the alderman zoning of the county Geldermalsen and a civil servant of zoning. In this conversation we received an explanation covering the estate as envisioned by the county Geldermalsen. And the possibilities for building an estate. We also gave an explanation about our project ideas and this made the possible advantages this could have for the county Geldermalsen, it’s surrounding area and the township of Rumpt apparent. The county also brings up the new option of adding plans to build starter homes to our ideas.

28th of October 2009 – Introduction of the members of the overseeing council

1st meeting between the members of the future overseeing council and a 1st discussion with the project initiators.

23rd of November 2009 – Founding of the foundation Linge’s Zorglandgoed.

On this date the project initiators and 3 members of the overseeing council signed the papers for the foundation of Linge’s Zorglandgoed with notary Snoek in Gorinchem.

Fall and winter 2009/2010 – Negotiations with the owners of the land that is for sale.

In the fall and winter of 2009/2010 we have several conversations concerning the purchase of the land. Initially it was not known to us that the land was actually divided in 2 sections each held by a different owner, but this became quickly apparent, leading us to come to agreements and signing 2 different agreements for the purchase of the land in 2010.
