These are the effects our research shows the Linge's Zorglandgoed will have on the patients and the environment.

Foreseen quantity and quality effects

  1. Place everyone in the community where nature and animals will help connect the diverse groups and make learning fun.

The care estate with the petting zoo will be a nice, green location where the people who live, work or visit for recreation. Plants and animals will invite to connect, because they are both living beings. They will visibly react to the way the participant connects with them. This will make the participant feel involved. This will be part of the education that will take place at the estate.

  1. Simplicity, rhythm and structure will offer a safe living- working- learning and recreational environment.

At the care estate participants will experience feelings of safety in different ways. The seasons and activities such as in the petting, fruit orchard, community garden and the estate will determine the rhythm of the day and week and offer structure and an overview. The elderly and the children will playfully and naturally learn and the elderly will be able to recognize the activities which they have known for decades. The activities will show a logical connection through which they will be seen as understandable and meaningful.

  1. Our thoughts spring from possibilities and we place these at the center.

It is important to join in with the possibilities of people and not to focus on their limitations. At the estate there will be many different activities through which everyone will be able to find something that is suited for them and that they will enjoy. At the center of these activities will be the wellbeing of the patient and stimulating their mind and their body to participate or co-experience. Amongst other things this will show in the sport- and game elements on the walking trail which will stimulate young and old to stay busy and reminisce or learn new things.

  1. To feed and stimulate Community Care from the core.

The environment will be designed around care for the people and the environment and Community Care will be fed and stimulated from the core. From within the care estate this will also be given shape by involving the surrounding population in the development of the estate as well as making use of what the surrounding area already has to offer. An example of this is that we will purchase our bread and meat from local suppliers rather than the cheapest national supplier. Our profit in this will come from the community support and strong local ties this will provide.

  1. The basis will continue to organically develop and take the shape desired by the community.

To give shape and content to all of the above we wish to organically develop the plans or our project, where the most important factor is that all involved have the same mindset and want to achieve the same goal.
